Overview
The radio system allows players to communicate over frequencies. Each player has 3 frequency slots and can tune each to a different 6-digit frequency. Anyone on the same frequency will hear your transmissions. You need a radio item in your inventory to use the radio.
Frequency Slots
You have 3 slots that can each hold a different frequency. Set a frequency with /freq and choose which slot to transmit on with /syncradio.
| Detail | Value |
|---|---|
| Slots per player | 3 |
| Valid frequency range | 100,000 to 999,999 |
/radiohelp for a quick overview of radio commands in-game.Setting Frequencies
Use /freq <slot> <frequency> to tune a slot. For example, /freq 1 123456 sets slot 1 to frequency 123456.
Use /syncradio <slot> to select which slot you transmit on when using /r. You can also transmit directly on a specific slot with /r1, /r2, or /r3.
Faction Frequencies
Faction members can use /getfreq to view their faction's frequency. Use /getfreq <slot> to automatically set your faction's frequency to a specific slot.
/getfreq.Transmitting
| Command | Transmits on |
|---|---|
/r <message> | Your active slot (set with /syncradio) |
/r1 <message> | Slot 1 |
/r2 <message> | Slot 2 |
/r3 <message> | Slot 3 |
Messages are color-coded by which slot the receiver hears them on. Nearby players (within 20 units) can also hear a faint radio transmission.
Department Radio
Law enforcement and government faction members who are on duty can use /d <message> to transmit on the department radio. This reaches all on-duty law enforcement and government members regardless of frequency settings.
Radio Toggle
Use /radio off to turn your radio off. You will not receive any transmissions while it is off. Use /radio on to turn it back on.
Radio Stations
Use /radiostation to browse and select a radio station for music playback in bars and houses. This is separate from the frequency-based communication system.
