Overview
The San Andreas Police Department (SAPD) is a multi-division law enforcement agency modeled after the LAPD. The department combats and prevents crime through daily operations including robberies, traffic stops, arrests, checkpoints, pursuits, and crime prevention.
Joining SAPD
To join the San Andreas Police Department:
- Use
/gps and select San Andreas Police Department to find HQ - Enter the building and use
/bell to contact the department - A recruitment officer may come out to speak with you about joining
You can also watch for SAPD announcements -- when an announcement is active, visit HQ and use /bell to ensure a recruitment officer is available.
Alternatively, visit forum.sa-mp.im and navigate to the SAPD sub-board to submit a formal application if enlistment is open.
Getting Started
Going on Duty
Use /duty to toggle your duty status. Always go on duty when logging in or switching to S3/S1.
Healing & Equipment
/heal -- Restore full health and armor at the SAPD spawn/givegun -- Select and equip authorized weapons at spawn/givegun config -- Configure which weapons auto-equip/copacc -- Access legal faction accessories at spawn

To use SAPD-only radio: first get the frequency with /getfreq, sync it to a channel with /syncradio 1/2/3, then use /r to communicate.

Tickets

Suspect Handling
Tazer
Use /tz to toggle between your deagle and tazer. The tazer effect is short-lived -- cuff the suspect quickly after tazing.
Cuffing & Uncuffing
/cuff <ID> | Cuff a player who is tazed or has hands up |
/uncuff <ID> | Remove cuffs from a player |
/letgo <ID> | Toggle movement and camera control for a cuffed player |
Vehicle Operations

Confiscation

Jailing & Unjailing

Barriers
Barriers are deployable objects used for roadblocks and perimeter control.

Impounding

Vehicles impounded with a $666 fee can only be unimpounded by law enforcement. The owner can self-unimpound after 15 days for $50,000.
