Overview
The phone system lets players make calls, send SMS messages, and manage a contact list. You need a phone item in your inventory and a phone number to use it. Payphones are available around the map for players without a personal phone.
Changing Your Phone Number
Use /changemynumber to change your phone number. Each change uses one numberchange credit (check available credits with /stats).
Numberchange credits can be obtained through donating or purchasing from other players via OOC trading.
Making Calls
Use /c <number> to call another player's phone number. You can also use a saved contact name instead of a number.
| Detail | Value |
|---|---|
| Cost per call | Configurable by admins (tax setting) |
| Requires | Phone item and phone number |
There are three special hotline numbers:
| Number | Service |
|---|---|
| 911 | Emergency services (prompts for situation description) |
| 555 | Taxi dispatcher |
Answering and Hanging Up
When someone calls you, use /answer to pick up. Use /hangup to end an active call. If your phone is turned off, you will not receive incoming calls.
Speaker Mode
Use /speaker on to activate loudspeaker mode during a call. Nearby players will be able to hear the conversation. Use /speaker off to disable it.
SMS
Use /sms <number> to send a text message. An input dialog will appear for your message (up to 256 characters). You can use a saved contact name instead of a number.
